A phonetic dictionary is a dictionary that allows you to locate the word by the way it sounds. These dictionaries are useful when the spelling of a word is unknown. Some "phonetic dictionaries" are designed as Apps for access via phone platforms such as the "American Wordspeller & Phonetic Dictionary" and the "American Wordspeller & Phonetic Dictionary ESL". These dictionaries were designed primarily for those who wish to spell their words by how their phonetic sound.
