Phutureprimitive is the moniker of Psychill, Downtempo, and Electronica DJ/producer, Rain, who creates a varied selection of music. Phutureprimitive's music is very diverse. He places significant emphasis on melody, bass lines, and percussion in his productions, and his works often demonstrate an influence from Downtempo, and Dubstep.[citation needed]

Phutureprimitive's first full length album "Subconscious" was released on Waveform Records on September 14, 2004. Since then Phutureprimitive has released tracks on a number of other labels. May 25, 2010 saw the release of the "Luminous EP" which has three tracks on it; All featuring female singer Alyssa Palmer. On March 15, 2011, Phutureprimitive's second full length album "Kinetik" was released. On this album, Rain took a much different approach to the production of the songs, by giving a more upbeat, dance vibe. On March 10, 2011, Phutureprimitive embarked on a month and a half tour in support of Kinetik.[1]
