Picar Development, Inc. is the premium residential and commercial developer of the AMA Group of Companies in the Philippines,[1][2] which is owned by Amb. Amable R. Aguiluz V. It is an emerging major player in the Philippine real estate business with a total land holdings of approximately 60 hectares in various stages of development. Picar Place in Makati City is its flagship project where The Stratford Residences is to rise.

Picar Development Inc. was established in 2007 serving as the real estate arm of AMA Group of Companies, one of the leading information technology companies in the Philippines. AMA Group of Companies' first foray is education with the establishment of AMA Computer University, the leading IT university in the Philippines with campuses in foreign countries.

The Stratford Residences

The Stratford Residences at Picar Place - Makati City is touted as the tallest residential tower in the Philippines with 74 floors. [3]

Its curvilinear shape designed by Arch. Jose Pedro C. Recio, founder of Rchitect Inc., has been recognized by BCI Asia, one of the country’s leading construction information service providers, as one of its top featured designs in 2009. In 2012, The Stratford Residences was featured as tallest structure in the Philippines at the viewing deck display of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, alongside other landmarks from all over the world.[4]


AMA Tower Residences

AMA Tower Residences is the tallest residential tower along EDSA-Ortigas. It is a 34-storey mixed-use condominium. It has 34 commercial spaces and 757 residential units, featuring various unit types such as flat, loft and bi-level units.[5]


The Chelsea Residences

The Chelsea Residences is the first intelligent residential building in Alabang that features Wi-Fi accessibility across its 32 floors.[6]

Ara Vista Village

Ara Vista Village in General Trias, Cavite is a 50-hectare Wi-Fi enabled suburban enclave known as the first Telepolis in the Philippines or an Information Age City. It is “a self-contained, suburban community” complete with recreational amenities such as basketball and tennis courts, swimming pools in the clubhouse and playgrounds as well as theme parks. Christ the King Church and a new branch of AMA School will also be built inside the village.[7]

Movenpick Hotel Makati is envisioned to become lodging for leisure and business travelers that features hotel suites and serviced apartments in European design and refined furnishings. It is a result of Picar’s partnership with the Movenpick Hotel and Resorts, an upscale Swiss hotel chain and management company.[8]

Buddha Bar Manila

Buddha Bar Manila is a three-storey fine-dining establishment known for its Asian fusion cuisine, distinct music and very comforting atmosphere. It is the 13th franchise of the Buddha Bar Paris, the first in Asia and brand’s largest establishment in the world.[9]
