Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink station is a tram stop in the City Zone of Greater Manchester's Metrolink light rail system. It is located beside Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre, and serves both as a transport hub (by integrating with the adjacient Manchester Piccadilly bus station), and interchange station (which can be used for changing between Metrolink lines).[1]

Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink station opened on 27 April 1992, as part of Metrolink's Phase 1. The station was rebuilt during 2009 with a wider platform and a new canopy, reopening on 2 November 2009.

Piccadilly is served by trams from four of the Metrolink lines, Altrincham, Bury, East Manchester and Eccles but passengers may connect to the East Didsbury service by changing at Cornbrook (connections for trams to Rochdale and some trams to Bury require a walk to Market Street Metrolink station). Trams run every 12 minutes throughout the day Mondays to Saturdays and also during Sunday daytime to Altrincham, Bury, Droylsden and Eccles, while Sunday evening journeys run every 15 minutes. Trams run up to 15 times an hour to Piccadilly railway station from Piccadilly Gardens.[2]
