Pilar is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Bataan, Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 43,213 people in 6,514 households. The living standards are healthier than its neighboring city of Balanga which is always congested and heavily polluted. The historic Mount Samat (Dambana ng Kagitingan) is found in Barangay Diwa, Pilar. The Bataan Government Center is also located in Pilar in Barangay Ala-uli.
