[edit] History

In the late 1990s, Aziz Zafer Ergul, Osman Oztoprak, and Ismail Arican started a school at the corner of Clifton Ave. and First St., at the site of a former mental hospital. Originally, the school was open to only middle school students, had expanded to 3rd graders by 2002. In 2005, they opened up the school to 2nd graders as well. In 2006, Pioneer Academy moved from its 366 Clifton Avenue location to another building at 1253 Main Avenue, on a site which was formerly St. Paul RC Church and Private School; the former building now houses the kindergarteners through third graders, while the newer building contains the elementary, middle, and high school students.

The Cherry Hill campus opened in the Ashland neighborhood for the 2006-2007 school year, located on Evesham Road (CR 544). This is the former location of the Holy Rosary School, which was a Camden Diocese church, established in 1958.[1]
