Pireaus Bank Romania is a subsidiary of Greece's Piraeus Bank. It was established in 1995 and in 2000 it acquired Pater Bank in Romania from Pater Bank from Targu Mures. Pater Bank targeted[clarification needed] Hungarians living in Romania.
