Plant ally and Plant allies are plants grown near crop plants for the purpose of providing some type of benefit to the crop.
Frequently these benefits involve helping with pest control, sometimes by being a more attractive host for the pest, sometimes by attracting predators, and sometimes by producing chemicals that repel or kill pests.
