[edit] Future privatisation

On July 15, 2005, the Romanian government announced that it plans to restructure and then privatise Poşta Română by 2008.[1]

[edit] Quality

A common problem is the quality of the service. The staff is rude to customers because the jobs are protected so they can't be fired for it. Similarly packages take more than 10 days to arrive even with express services. Tipically an EMS package takes a few days to arrive from abroad in the hands of the Romanian Post then spends another week in storage before the customer is even notified. Adding to this problem is that official complaints filed by customers are always ignored thanks to the state-owned status of the Post.
