In Greek mythology, Polyxenus (Greek: Πολύξενος or Πολύξεινος) was one of the first priests of Demeter and one of the first to learn the secrets of the Eleusinian Mysteries.
In Biology, Polyxenus is a genus of bristly millipedes, which are covered with detachable barbed bristles to defend against predators.
