From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pontic race is a term which was classified as a sub-race of Caucasian race into which it was divided by physical anthropologists in the early 20th century.[1][2] The race was thought to extend among the population of the Black Sea coast, namely: Adygs, Abkhazians, Georgians, southern Ukrainians, southern Russians, Moldavians, and extends further west to the populations consisting of Poles, Slovakians, and in the Balkans.
