[edit] History
[edit] Early years
Pony Up! formed on New Year's Eve 2002 and, upon developing a relationship with singer Ben Lee, released their debut, self-titled EP, Pony Up! in 2005 on his friend Steve Aoki's label, Dim Mak.
[edit] 2006-2007
April 2006 Make Love to the Judges with Your Eyes is the first full-length from Pony Up. To promote their debut, the band toured Australia extensively in the summer of 2006, where their single "The Truth About Cats and Dogs (Is That They Die)" would later be voted #47 on the world's largest music poll, Triple J's Hottest 100.
[edit] 2008-present
In September 2008 Pony Up supported The Mountain Goats on tour. Lisa Smith and Laura Wills joined the touring lineup of The Dears.
The Song "A Crutch Or A Cradle" off the upcoming CD was leaked early.
On October 27, 2008 Pony Up created a blog on their MySpace asking listeners to help them choose the single off their new album, Stay Gold, which will be released in the spring of 2009.[1] They then began posting all of the songs on the upcoming album on the main myspace page.
