Hello everyone, as creator of the portal, I tried to update the bulletin board with news of this portal. However, I'm new, and I can't edit the page because of its bogus semi-protected status. Why is that even there? Can somebody help me out and either lift the protection status or post on my behalf? Any help would be appreciated.--Jacob.husted (talk) 15:39, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
Done I'm planning to spend some time on this portal next week. -- John of Reading (talk) 17:00, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
Got it. Working on some of this now. By the way, rock on, dude! So far you're my best (and to my knowledge, only) helper on this page. Sorry if I sound like a fanboy, I just really appreciate it.--Jacob.husted (talk) 18:22, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Thank you! Two comments:
Have a look at my edit to Portal:Astrobiology/Selected article/6. You copy+pasted the text from the article, I did it again after clicking "Edit" in the article first. The difference is that the portal page now has the blue links as well as the text.
I've edited the main portal page to update the "max=" parameters. Without this edit, the "Show new selections" button will never realise that you've added a sixth article and image. -- John of Reading (talk) "dude" 19:11, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
