Burgstall (Italian: Postal) is a comune (municipality) in the province of South Tyrol, located in the Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol.

As of 30 November 2010, it had a population of 1,585 and an area of 6.7 km².[1]
Burgstall borders the following municipalities: Gargazon, Lana, Meran, Mölten, and Vöran.

The emblem shows an eurasian sparrowhawk, which is to fly up, on argent. It is the arms of the Knights of Burgstall, the emblem was granted in 1966. [2]

According to the 2001 census, 73.99% of the population speak German, 25.64% Italian and 0.37% Ladin as first language.[3]
