Proliferative verrucous leukoplakia

Proliferative verrucous leukoplakia is a slowly progressive condition characterized by thickened and enlarged sites of oral mucous membrane.[1]:805 It is a recognized subtype of idiopathic leukoplakia with a higher risk of transformation into oral squamous cell carcinoma (or verrucous carcinoma).
