Protraction
Protraction is the anatomical term of motion for anterior movement of an anatomical part of the body forward (anteriorly). This can include the shoulders, jaw, pelvis, etc.
It is the opposite of retraction.
For example, for anterior movement of the arms at the shoulders the major muscles involved include: [1][2]
