Proview International Holdings Ltd
Proview International Holdings (SEHK: 334; Chinese: 唯冠) is a Chinese manufactuer of computer monitors and other media devices. As a computer monitor manufacturer, it is one of the top five in the world.[citation needed] The company markets its products under its own and other brand name through its extensive distribution network over the world. Proview manufactures CRT and LCD monitors, LCD TVs, Plasma TVs and DVD players. Proview has production facilities located in Shenzhen, Wuhan in China, and in Brazil and Taiwan.
Proview claims to hold the "iPad" trademark for China, despite a subsidiary selling the rights to Apple, Inc.. They are suing Apple for US$1.6 billion in damages.[1] Apple has countered that the suit is a shakedown to prop up the company due to its significant debt and impending collapse.[2]
