The Municipal District of Provost No. 52 is a municipal district in east-central Alberta, Canada, on the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.

It is located in Census Division 12. The municipal district was established in the current boundaries in 1943, through the amalgamation of the Municipal Districts of Hillcrest No. 362 and Sifton No. 391. The municipal seat is in the Town of Provost.

In 2006, Provost No. 52 had a population of 2,547 living in 1,038 dwellings, a 3.5% decrease from 2001. The municipal district has a land area of 3,625.20 km2 (1,399.70 sq mi) and a population density of 0.7 /km2 (1.8 /sq mi).[2]

In 2001, the municipal district had a population of 2,635 in 1,028 dwellings, a 2.6% decrease from 1996. On a surface of 3,622.49 km² it had a density of 0.7 inhabitants/km².[3]
