Puller was a post-grunge band formed in the mid-1990s. They released three full-length albums and one EP for Tooth & Nail Records and disbanded in 2001.

Two of Puller's members, lead vocalist and guitarist Mike Lewis and guitarist Mike Miles, were also members of For Love Not Lisa, who released two albums for Elektra Records in the early 1990s. After Puller's 1998 album Closer Than You Think, Lewis and Simon reformed For Love Not Lisa and released a new album, The Lost Elephant, in 1999.
