Punnapuzha

Punnapuzha River is one of the tributaries of the Chaliyar River. Chaliyar River is the fourth longest river[citation needed] in Kerala, south India at 169 km in length.

Punnapuzha is the name of a family situated in South Parur Kerala. It is a very old and aristocratic family descended from Portugal or France. Recently one of the Punnapuzha family member tested his DNA to find out more about the history of the family. The results showed that the ancestors were from Portugal or France about 15-10 generations back.
