PureText is a small utility computer program written by Steve Miller for Windows that allows the user to paste the contents of the clipboard as plain text. Any formatting of the text is removed, including hard returns.

PureText+ is an Apache 2.0 licensed open source replica of PureText developed by Melloware. In 2011, Melloware wanted make a few small changes to PureText, but realized the application was not open source. Melloware started a Google Code project to develop a program with the same basic functionality as PureText written from scratch in C# .NET 2.0.
