PureText is a small utility for Windows that allows the user to paste the contents of the clipboard as plain text. Any formatting of the text is removed. This is equivalent to pasting formatted text into Notepad then copying it back out again; or using "Paste Special" in Microsoft Word to paste unformatted text. It was programmed by Steve Miller.

PureText+ is an Apache 2.0 Licensed open source replica of PureText. In 2011 Melloware wanted to change the icon of PureText and realized the application was not open source. A Google Code project was started and released written from scratch in C# .NET 2.0 with an icon that looks good on all version of windows. It was programmed by Melloware.
