The Queensland Brigade is an expansion team in the Legends Football League set to begin play in the 2013 season. Based in Gold Coast, Queensland,[1] the Brigade will play its home games at the Skilled Park.

The Brigade are one of four charter team to play in the LFL Australia league, the other's are New South Wales Surge, Victoria Maidens, and Western Australia Angels, along with two additional teams in markets to be announced.

The Brigade's colours are a tribute to Queensland professional football team's, the Brisbane Broncos, Brisbane Roar FC and Queensland Maroons.

History[edit]

It was announced by the Legends Football League on 8 August 2012 that the Second franchise for LFL Australia to be based on the Gold Coast at Skilled Park. Queensland Brigade first game in franchise history was slated for 7 December 2013 Against New South Wales Surge at Penrith Stadium in a State of Origin style match.
