Quiquel is a rural area in the Dalcahue commune, in the Chiloé Island in Los Lagos Region, Chile. This place is located about 7 km. north of the city of Dalcahue. Its inhabitants work mainly in the salmon farming, and seafood industry. Most of the people raise sheep for its meat and wool; and other animals like cows (moo), pigs(oink), oxen, hen, ducks(quack) and turkeys(gobble gobble gobble).
The area is surrounded by beautiful native forests, where different species can be found. For example, tepa tree, lenga tree, luma tree, coigüe tree, among others. From these forests the inhabitants of Quíquel get wood for the rainy season.
