Réseau Info-Sports (often referred to as RIS or RIS Info Sports), is a Canadian French language category 1 digital cable specialty channel. It is a 24 hour sports news channel owned by CTV Speciality Television Inc; a division of CTVglobemedia (80%) and ESPN (20%).
[edit] Programming
RIS operates on a rotating 30 minute news wheel of sports scores, news and highlights. All programming contains a continuous on-screen ticker of current sports scores and news. It could be considered a French language version of ESPNews. As a result, the on-screen ticker is the same size as ESPNews, and remains on screen throughout most commercials.
Other programming features National Hockey League regular season and playoff games, as well as other sports events that RDS cannot feature due to schedule issues.
