Roubini Global Economics or RGE (formerly known as RGE Monitor), is a global economic and financial analysis firm based in New York City. The company also has an office in London.

RGE was founded in 2004 by Dr. Nouriel Roubini, former senior adviser to the U.S. Treasury and the International Monetary Fund and a professor at New York University's Stern School of Business and Camille LeBlanc, serial entrepreneur in the digital media sector. Ms LeBlanc was the founding CEO and was responsible for building the initial team and seeding the product in 3,000 accounts in the public and private financial sector. The company re-branded itself as Roubini Global Economics (RGE) in 2010 and now has offices in New York and London, and includes a staff of several dozen in-house economists and analysts. Dr. Roubini serves as Chairman for the company and provides direction to the analytical team.

In July 2012, RGE announced that it had acquired Country Insights. In a press release, Nouriel Roubini commented “We believe our clients will find added value in the combination of Country Insights’ systematic country risk approach and RGE’s macroeconomic strategy analysis”.[1]

RGE's online product is focused on macroeconomic, financial, geo-strategic, and geo-political topics and includes original analysis of the world's economies and asset classes. Premium subscriptions allow for full access and are targeted at asset managers, hedge funds, commercial banks, investment banks, corporations, universities, central banks and other policy organizations.

Country Insights[edit]

With the acquisition of Country Insights, RGE added a Quantitative Country Analytics (QCA) product that systematically measures the relative strengths and weaknesses of 174 countries across the globe.[2]

Roubini Monitor[edit]

In 2013, RGE launched the web and newsletter-based Roubini Monitor aimed at retail investors.[3]

In 2010, RGE moved their economic blogs to, where economic, financial, and geopolitical thinkers from around the world can openly blog and debate.

Corporate officers[edit]

Richard Green became RGE’s CEO in 2012 after holding the position of CFO at the company for 6 years. The research team is led by Italian-born economist Christian Menegatti (Managing Director of Research), Arnab Das (Managing Director of Research), and Paul Domjan (Managing Director of Roubini Country Risk).[4]
