RIDGID is the brand name for the Ridge Tool Company, which makes plumbing, HVAC/R, utility, industrial, electrical, petroleum, institutional, commercial and hardware tools. RIDGID®, the brand name for The Ridge Tool Company , is an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of more than 300 innovative tools and machines in more than 4,000 models and sizes for the professional rental, plumbing, HVAC/R, utility, industrial, electrical, petroleum, institutional, commercial and hardware markets. The company, a division of Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, is headquartered in Elyria, Ohio, and offers its products in more than 140 countries through a network of leading distributors. The company’s tagline is, “WE BUILD REPUTATIONS.”

Calendar[edit]

The RIDGID Tool Calendar, which first appeared in 1935, is a tradition that dates back to the company’s earliest years. An instant success, early renditions of this legendary annual calendar featured the work of famed American pin-up artist George Petty, whose drawings incorporated depictions of models posing with tools bearing the company brand. RIDGID Calendars have appeared in notable movies, such as the 1985 John Hughes movie 'The Breakfast Club', and Allen Coulter's 2006 movie, 'Hollywoodland.'

Notable personalities that have appeared in the RIDGID calendar include Raquel Welch (July/August 1965 and March/April 1981); Cindy Margolis (July/August 1992); Linda Sobek (January/February 1995); Brooke Burke (July/August 1999); Pamela Paulshock (November/December 1999); Nikki Schieler (January/February 1998); Angelique Gorges (January/February 1999) and Kelly Monaco (January/February 2002).
