RUAG is a Swiss technology company, with its headquarters in Bern. It has production sites in Switzerland (Aigle, Thun, Bern, Emmen, Altdorf, and Interlaken), Germany (Oberpfaffenhofen, Hamburg and Fürth), Sweden (Gothenburg, Linköping and Åmotfors), Hungary (Sirok) and Austria (Vienna and Berndorf).

The RUAG has following subsidiaries:

  • RUAG Aerospace (aviation, space for civil and military use)
  • RUAG Space AG in Switzerland
  • RUAG Space AB in Sweden
  • RUAG Space GmbH in Austria
  • RUAG Ammotec (small calibre ammunition up to 12.7 mm for defence, law enforcement, hunting and sport). Producing subsidiaries in Germany, Hungary and Sweden. The products for the civil market are branded under the names RWS, Geco, Hirtenberger, Rottweil and Norma.)
  • RUAG Technology (component manufacturing, aerostructures and recycling with products mainly for the civil market)
  • RUAG Electronics (simulation and training, telematics, maintenance, network enabled operations etc.)
  • RUAG Land System (combat and support vehicles)
