Race In The City is an event in Toronto that pits teams of two against each other in a fun checkpoint-based tour of the city. At the start of the race teams are given a clue to reach the first checkpoint, as well as a question to answer or a challenge to complete once they get there. When they reach the checkpoint and answer the question or complete the challenge correctly, they are given a clue to reach the next checkpoint. The team that completes the route in the fastest time wins.
The event was inspired by the popularity of The Amazing Race and offers both visitors to and citizens of Toronto a fun way to explore the city. Previous events have led teams on a movie location-themed tour, a historical tour and a subway tour of the city.
