History[edit]
Highlander[edit]
Born in 1936 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to Jewish parents, she was rescued from the Nazis by Connor MacLeod in 1943. Connor adopted her and raised her as his own daughter. Later in life, she became his friend, confidante and business partner in Connor's antiques store in New York. In the Garry Kilworth novelisation of the film, Connor explains to Brenda that he himself is Rachel's adopted son. Before the final battle of the Gathering in 1985, Rachel realized that if even Connor could defeat The Kurgan, he would still not return. Connor granted her power of attorney over his estate and left her in charge of Nash Antiques.
Highlander: Endgame[edit]
In the early 90s, Jacob Kell, who had a personal vendetta against Connor, set off a bomb in the antiques store, killing Rachel in the process. Connor was devastated with her loss and retired himself from The Game, hiding in the Sanctuary until Kell destroyed it a decade later.
