Raquel Evita Saraswati (born 1983), is a reform-minded Muslim who briefly served as executive asssistant to Irshad Manji, a self-described Muslim reformist. Saraswati helped coordinate Manji's Project Ijtihad, an effort aimed at fostering critical thinking in Islam.

She served on the Board of Directors of the Center for New Words (an organization promoting the power of women's words and literacy), and served on the Steering Committee of Boston MASALA (for LGBTQ South Asians). Saraswati has also been involved with gay rights organizations Al-Fatiha and Dignity/USA, and supports the Campaign to Stop Child Executions.[1] Most recently Saraswati has been working with Vision Library[2] on building a feminist wing in an English Language library in Iraq. She is also a contributor at MEMINI[3] an organization that works to combat honor violence and memorialize victims of said violence.
She has appeared on CNN, WGBH and other news and radio stations.
