Lonnie Rashid Paul, better known as Rasi Caprice (21 September 1978) is a Washington, D.C. bred American rap artist and vocalist who mixes pop music, rock, r&b, soul and hip hop. His most recent album, "Taxation Without Representation," won the The Independent Music Awards VOX Populi vote as Independent Album of 2008.[1][2] The single "Free My City (Free DC)" was his biggest hit to date from off of the TWR release which single handedly rebirthed the DC statehood movement and was used by the likes of political supporters, activists, educators and DC enthusiasts to educate youth about statehood.
Rasi Caprice's "Taxation Without Representation" was nominated for the 7th Annual Independent Music Awards for Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the year.
