Mr. Ratan Jindal is the Vice Chairman - Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of JSL Limited [1]– a USD 1 Billion Stainless Steel conglomerate and the founding company of the USD 6 billion O. P. Jindal Group.

Ratan Jindal has been Managing Director of Jindal Stainless Limited now JSL Limited since July 2003. Mr. Jindal serves as the Managing Director of FZE. He served as Managing Director of Nalwa Sons Investments Ltd. (formerly Jindal Strips Ltd.) since 1989. He serves as Vice Chairman of Jindal Stainless Limited since July 2003. Mr. Jindal serves as Non-Executive Director of Jindal Steel and Power. He serves as a Directors of Shalimar Paints Limited, Sanibel Tea Ltd., Jindal Stainless ... UK Limited, Jindal Stainless Mauritius Limited, Massillon Stainless Inc., USA, Nalwa Farms Pvt. Ltd. He serves as a Member of Board of the International Stainless Steel Forum. Mr. Jindal served as a Director of Nalwa Sons Investments Ltd (formerly Jindal Strips Ltd) from 1979 to November 18, 2005. He is a commerce graduate and has attended the Advanced Management Programme at Wharton Business School, U.S.A.[2]
Mr. Ratan Jindal is also on the Board of International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), a forum under the auspices of World Steel Organization in Belgium, established to focus on the development of the stainless steel industry worldwide. He is currently the Chairman of the Economics & Statistics Committee of ISSF.
An alumnus of the Wharton School of Management[citation needed], Mr. Ratan Jindal's focus has been on producing value-added stainless steel products. Further, he has been instrumental in setting up the Jindal Stainless Design Center for promoting the usage of stainless steel in special applications for Lifestyle, value-added industrial segments and its use in Architecture, Building & Construction sectors.
A member of the US-based “Young President’s Organisation”, Mr. Ratan Jindal resides in Delhi with his wife and 2 children (Urvi and Abhyuday). He loves to spend his rare leisure hours in golf and tennis, being a particularly keen golfer.[citation needed]
