Riyat (ਰਾਇਤ in Gurmukhi & राइत in Devnagri) is a surname and a Ramgarhia gotra in Punjab, India. They are followers of the Sikh religion inhabiting in the Doaba region of Punjab. Rayat, Rayit, Riyat and Riayet are actually same despite of different spellings.
