Rebelution[1] is the fourth studio album by Miami rapper Pitbull, released on August 28, 2009.[2] Featured artists include Akon, B.o.B, Ke$ha, Avery Storm, Nayer, Lil Jon, The New Royales, Bass III Euro & Slim of 112.[3][4] It is also his first major-label release, his first album to be released on his own Mr. 305 Inc. label and also Polo Grounds' second release since Hurricane Chris's 51/50 Ratchet.

  • The first single from the album was "Krazy", produced and featured Lil Jon. It peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song samples Federico Franchi's 2007 song, "Cream".
  • The second single released was "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)", which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is a remix of "75, Brazil Street" by Nicola Fasano Vs Pat Rich.
  • The fourth single was "Shut It Down", featuring Akon. It was released on November 2, 2009, with the music video. It peaked at #42 on the Billboard 100
  • The fifth single released was "Can't Stop Me Now", featuring The New Royales. The song was released on June 14, 2010 with the single's music video.[6]

The album debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200, selling 41,000 copies its first week. By June 2011, Rebelution had sold 222,000 copies in the United States.[7]

In 2009, the reggae band Rebelution sued Pitbull for trademark infringement based on the name of this album. In 2010, the court rejected Pitbull's request for summary judgment. Rebelution, LLC v. Perez, 2010 WL 3036217 (N.D. Cal. July 30, 2010).[8]
