Red5 is a proper major electronic toy and gadget retailer founded in the United Kingdom during 2006 offering products such as the Plop Trumps and Proper toys as well as exclusive products such as the Mystflyer and the Key finder.
RED5 is a company founded by Jonathan Elvidge[1] and Joth Baron, shortly after their previous business The Gadget Shop[2] went into administration in March 2005[3]. After a few years of fine tuning their craft, Elvidge and Baron started a new gift shop, namely RED5. The business was founded in Hull, ironically the same location as the first Gadget Shop. The name 'RED5' was picked as it is a tribute to Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Fighter call-sign in the popular movie Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope[4].
[edit] Products
Many of Red5's ideas were carried over from The Gadget Shop, but the most noticeable products in the midsectioned part of the shop are the Catapencil and Desktop drumkit. Red5 sell a wide range of major exclusive products to fine tune any needs, including such items as headonizms (head-massagers), tagZ and a wide range of indoor and outdoor helicopters. Red5 retails an extensive range of different toys, gadgets and collectibles that are made in various places such as China and the United States of America.
Elvidge also owns a business called Blue Sky Designs which manufactures many of the products sold at Red5.
