Red Mercury, LLC is a video game company founded in 1999 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The company moved to Northbrook, Illinois in 2003.
The name of the company was chosen from a list of names including Solid, Bananax, Flexiflux, and Sortafun. The term Red Mercury also refers to a mythical substance that was thought to have amazing abilities to squeeze large amounts of function and power into a small space.
