F. W. Reilly Elementary School is one of Chicago Public Schools in district 299. "In December of 1999, Reilly School became the first Chicago Public School to have solar electric (photovoltaic) panels installed on its roof. The system delivers electricity to the school every day" [1]. The school has two branches, renting a building down the street that used to be a catholic school named St. Wencenslaus Elementary School (in Polish Szkoła Św. Wacława) that closed down in 1993. Reilly school expanded in mid '90s with a new building that connected to the main branch. The latest enrollment included 1587 students.[2].
