Remo Vinzens (born December 22, 1975) is an actor of Swiss origin.

[edit] Personal life

Vinzens was born as Remo Stefan Vinzens in Buchs, St. Gallen, Switzerland. He passed the obligatory Swiss school system and graduated from commercial school in 1994 with a diploma of commerce. At the age of 20, Vinzens moved to Zurich and started his acting career.

He completed his training as an actor in Zurich and Cologne where he was taught by Klaus Maria Brandauer and Lee Strasberg actress Kristina Walter with main focus on classical theatre. Vinzens began acting onstage in 1998. During his training he became a member of the Rohrbach theatre ensemble. In the following years he performed in stageplays of Bertolt Brecht, Friedrich Schiller, Arthur Miller and Tennessee Williams in all Europe.

Late 2002 he became a member of the Swiss stage artist federation and in 2003 he became a member of the Brandauer Ingenuus Ensemble led by Klaus Maria Brandauer. In 2005 he went to the USA where he focused on theaters. In 2008 Hollywood became attentive to Vinzens and offered him in Angels and Demons the Camerlengo [1] part next to Tom Hanks but Vinzens refused and went to Broadway instead.

At the end of 2011 a new movie called Senior Torres [2] with Vinzens as lead will have the opening night in London. At the moment he is preparing for the part of Michelangelo. An international film production about the early life of the genius Michelangelo Buonaroti in Florence.[3] In addition it is sad, that Vinzens will portray Pablo Escobar in the Hollywood Production Killing Pablo.[4] next to Christian Bale. No production start date has been set yet. Vinzens is fluent in three languages: German, English and Italian and has accted in each.

In 2004 Vinzens got married and is the father of two daughters.[5] Vinzens lives in Los Angeles and Zurich
