Resende (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˌʁɛˈzẽd(ɨ)]) is a municipality in the Viseu District in Portugal with a total area of 123.4 km² and a total population of 11,978 inhabitants.

The present mayor is António Manuel Borges, elected by the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is September 29.
