Resource Interactive is a privately held digital marketing agency headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The company provides digital strategies, website creative, mobile and commerce solutions for Fortune 500 companies in retail, consumer goods, and technology sectors. Resource Interactive is a pioneer in the new and emerging landscape it calls "Everywhere Commerce".[1] Through patent-pending technology and deep consumer insights, Resource Interactive is making it possible for brands to turn all consumer touchpoints into shoppable moments.

Resource Interactive has office locations in Cincinnati, Chicago, and San Francisco and remote associates nationwide. Resource Interactive is the largest independent women-owned agency in the country.[2]

  • Apple - Founder Nancy Kramer launched the company in 1981 when she landed her first client, Apple. For almost two decades Resource Interactive promoted some of Apple's most revolutionary technological advances including Apple’s first Macintosh computer and the concepts for desktop publishing. In 1991 Resource Interactive was responsible for creating Apple’s first worldwide CD-ROM.[3]
  • Burton Snowboard - When retail brands began to explore online opportunities in the mid 1990s, they turned to Resource Interactive. In 1995 Resource Interactive created Burton Snowboard’s first website. The work earned a Clio, National Addy, and One Show Interactive Awards.[4]
  • CompuServe - In 1996 Resource Interactive developed the flat rate pricing model for CompuServe. In 1997 the company created a Super Bowl ad that challenged AOL and made headlines.[5]
  • Sherwin-Williams - In 2009 Resource Interactive launched it's first iPhone app called ColorSnap for Sherwin-Williams. The app is featured in books and publications.[6]
  • The Limited - In 2009 Resource Interactive launched the first-ever fully integrated social commerce experience on the Facebook Wall for Limited Stores using Resource Interactive's technology then called Off The Wall (now called Distributed Commerce PlatformSM).[7]
  • Victoria's Secret - In 1998 Resource Interactive created Victoria’s Secret’s first ecommerce site. Within six hours of the site launch, the brand received orders from people in 37 different countries. In 1999 Resource Interactive came up with the concept and created the first Victoria’s Secret Super Bowl television advertisement. The spot promoted the brand’s first fashion show webcast. That ad spurred record-breaking web traffic and MIT included information about the event in its annual time capsule marking the state of the Internet.[8]

  • In 2002, CEO Kelly Mooney introduced her first book The Ten Demandments. It was the first real-world roadmap for brands to win consumers’ hearts and earn their loyalty.
  • In 2007, Kelly Mooney released her second book, The OPEN Brand – When Push Comes to Pull in a Web-Made World (co-authored by Resource Futurist Dr. Nita Rollins). The book gave brands a blueprint on how to become O.P.E.N. (On-demand, Personal, Engaging, and Networked) with their consumers – a key to staying relevant with the empowered, always on consumer. In 2008 Mooney shared her views on stage at Shop.org’s first Global Summit in Amsterdam.[9]
  • Every 18 months Resource Interactive explores ever-changing consumer behaviors at its iCitizen symposium. This event brings together industry thought leaders, top executives from major brands, and technology visionaries.
  • In 2009, the company released its first project using its patent-pending technology called Distributed Commerce PlatformSM or DCP. Prototyped and tested in the RI:Lab, DCP makes it possible for brands to drive revenue at every consumer touchpoint, accelerating a consumer’s path from discovery to purchase.

  • 2003 and 2004 - Named to Ad Week’s list of Top Interactive Agencies[10]

  • The company lives by four core values: Do the Right Thing, Make Anything Possible, Lean Forward, and Feed the Culture
  • The Resource Employees’ Equity Fund (REEF) makes all Resource Interactive associates shareholders in publicly traded clients, earning coverage in Inc. and BusinessWeek.
  • RI:Gives donates $250 to each associate's charity of choice after they contribute 25 hours of community service time.[15]
  • RI:U is the company's internal university, providing continuing education for all associates[16]
