Restonic was founded in 1938 as Triple Cushion Corporation and changed to Restonic in 1946. Restonic offers two bed collections, innerspring ComfortCare, and specialty-sleep HealthRest beds containing visco-elastic foam or latex. The company touts its "Marvelous Middle" construction, which is designed to provide lumbar support in the bed's center third.
Like a number of other mattress brands including Spring Air and Englander, Restonic is a mattress licensing group. The licensees manufacture beds under the Restonic name, and like a cooperative, are shareholders in the company.
Restonic advertising campaigns of the past have used well-known personalities such as Mel Blanc, Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows.
