The Rebiana Sand Sea is in the western part of the Saharan Libyan Desert in the Kufra District of the Cyrenaica region in eastern Libya.
This and the Egyptian and Calanshio Sand Seas contains dunes up to 110m in height and cover about 25% of the Libyan Desert. The dunes were created by wind.
