Richard Brown (journalist)

Richard Brown from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan,[1] is a Canadian journalist.

Brown is a former high school teacher. He started broadcast journalism with CFRN in Edmonton, Alberta.[1]
In 1981 he was one of the first news presenters of CNN Headline News.[2] He has also presented news at Global TV Toronto, CTV Toronto, WCBS-TV NYC,[2] KGO-TV San Francisco (1990-96},[3] and KXLY-TV Spokane (1998-2007).[1] He now hosts a 3-6pm daily radio talk show on CJME in Saskatchewan.[2]
Brown has received eight Emmys, Radio Television News Directors Association and Associated Press awards,[2] and the George Foster Peabody medal for his coverage of the Rwanda Civil War and Refugee Crisis in 1994.[4]
