Robert Lazzara M.D., CEO, Lazzara Media Network Productions (born 1958) was born in Tampa, Florida and was educated at the Jesuit High School there. He attended Tulane University, from where he graduated Cum Laude with honors in Biology in 1980 and went on to earn his MA in 1981. He earned his MD at Emory University School of Medicine in 1985.

In 1998, Doctor Lazzara founded The Virtual Operating Room, LLC (VOR) in Seattle, WA. Virtual OR was the first company to live web-cast of a coronary artery bypass from the operating room.[1][2] Dr. Lazzara co-founded Medical Doctor Internet Television(MDiTV) in 2009. Subesequent to this Dr. Lazzara founded Lazzara Media Network Productions,(LMPN.tv) Lazzara Media Production Network is a media production company focused on bringing you the latest in health programs and medical news. Programs include: 'The Doctor Is In", " Natural Forces"," News with Andrew Holtz and Cathy Marshall", Interviews with experts on our " Second Opinion" show, and Live and On Demand Surgery. Available on your iPHONE, iPAD, and internet-enabled television, LMPN.TV is live and on-demand anywhere you can access the internet.

Currently, Dr. Lazzara is the CEO of Lazzara Media Production Network (LMPN.tv), a new media company focused on health care television and based in Portland, Oregon

In 1998, Doctor Lazzara appeared in the Guinness Book of Records under, "Most Sophisticated Surgical Application for utilization of robotic technology in surgery.

In 1999, Doctor Lazzara's company Virtual Operating Room (Virtual OR) was awarded The Smithsonian Institution's ComputerWorld Information Technology Innovators Award.[3]
