Robin Smith (bishop)

The Rt Rev Robin Jonathan Norman Smith was the Bishop of Hertford from 1990 until 2001.[1]
He was born on 14 August 1936[2] and educated at Bedford School and Worcester College, Oxford [3] before embarking on an ecclesiastical career with a curacy at St Margaret's, Barking[4] after which he was Chaplain of Lee Abbey then Vicar of Chesham St Mary. Following this he was Rector of Great Chesham[5] before elevation to the Episcopate. In retirement he continues to serve the Church as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of St Albans.
