Robin L. Wiessmann served as Treasurer of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2009. She was appointed by Governor Ed Rendell in 2007. She was unanimously confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate on April 30, 2007 to fill the unexpired term of Bob Casey who resigned to take his United States Senate seat. She did not seek election when her term expired, and was succeeded by fellow Democrat Rob McCord.

Wiessmann graduated cum laude from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, and received her law degree from Rutgers University in Camden, NJ. She and her husband live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with their two children.

Prior to her term as Treasurer of Pennsylvania, Wiessmann served as a Vice-president at Goldman Sachs. She also served as Deputy Director of Finance for the Philadelphia. From 1990 through 1999 Wiessmann was a founding principal and president of Artemis Capital Group. She served as a director for Merrill Lynch, the International City Managers Retirement Corporation (ICMA), and Vantagepoint Funds.[1]

The Women’s City Club of New York lauded awarded Wiessmann the Civic Spirit Award in 1996. The National Women Executives in State Government Association awarded her the “Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award” in 1999.
