Early Life

Rocky Marquette was born in Muskegon, Michigan. He studied at Reeths Puffer High School and then attended college at Grand Valley State University on a Shakespeare scholarship.

Film Career

Rocky Marquette has quickly made a name for himself in the indie film scene. He has acted along side such great actors as Minnie Driver, Kristen Stewart, Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, and Patty McCormack. He has worked with many famous directors like horror king Tobe Hooper and Academy Award nominated and BAFTA/Golden Globe Award winner Walter Salles.

Many of the horror films Rocky has starred in, such as Shallow Ground, have quickly become cult classics.

As one critic stated "Rocky Marquette is a name to keep an eye out for."

Commercial/Print Career

Rocky Marquette has worked on campaigns for the companies HP, Sony, Liberty Mutual, Pennzoil, and Chevrolet.

Personal Life

Rocky currently lives in Los Angeles and has a second home in Michigan.

  • The very first public performance he did was a puppet show in front of a college classroom when he was a little boy.
  • Started acting at the age of seven when he first watched the ABC daytime drama, All My Children, with his grandmother. He said "Grandma, I wanna do that."
  • He won a Shakespeare Scholarship to Grand Valley State University
  • He received the Muskegon Community Foundation Award/Scholarship for volunteering in his community, Muskegon County. He came up with an idea of producing and directing a short film dealing with the subject of child abuse. Rocky directed/produced and showcased local actors in his film. It was shown at the local high school to raise money for the Child Abuse Council. The event was a huge success and all the proceeds from the donations went to help out victims of child abuse.
  • Rocky plays saxophone, piano, guitar and Irish flute and was a drum major.
