The Roman Catholic Church in Tanzania is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome.
There are around 9 million Catholics in the country - about a quarter of the total population. There are 34 dioceses, including 5 archdioceses:
