Rosfjord
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rosfjord is a fjord in the Norwegian municipality of Lyngdal. The harbour of Agnefest has a history going back at least to 1771.[1] Because of the high salinity of the water the fjord rarely freezes, making it a suitable harbour.
At the bottom of the fjord lies Rosfjord Beach, where there is both a campsite and a hotel. Commercial camping on the site goes back to 1934. In the 1970s several cottages were built, and the hotel—Rosfjord Strandhotell—dates from 1986.[2]
