Rubin Kazan vs. Krylia Sovetov Samara is major derby of Volga region. Rivalry of neighbouring large cities of Kazan and Samara is often called «Volga derby».

Incidents[edit]

Since 2000's, every derby is accompanied by conflicts between fans.

On 27 March 2006: In a scuffle after the match one man was hospitalized with cerebral injury.[3]

On 30 October 2009: Samara fans broke 650 seats and railings of Central Stadium (Kazan). Criminal proceedings were instituted against 4 fans.[4]
